Seeing as a couple of PRs have been open for a while and
#52 is somewhat critical, maybe you want some help with the maintenance of this package @grantmcconnaughey ?

There's also a fork that has seen some development, but has (apparently) not decided to (try to) upstream their improvements.
Looks like it would be nice to integrate those. Which maybe would also cover #44

There's been no response in almost 3 months now, so I'm considering this project abandoned.
