Creating a traject with the GraphHopper map web is quick and easy. However, the GPX export (RTE + TRK) files cannot directly be imported into either Cruiser GPS or Locus Map. I asked ChatGPT to convert the file into the simple GPX TBT navigation track mode. After import into both apps, immediately ready to go for navigation. Offering this GPX format in a GH web GPX export would be very useful. The format allows a result to be re-imported later with the same exact 100% accuracy.

The Cruiser GPS app reads the recoverable shaping points and automatically suppresses the accompanying straight-line instructions during navigation. Less “noise” is better. Thanks to the shaping points, you can modify a single or multiple track sections between the shaping trackpoints as desired in as well the mobile or desktop Cruiser GPS app.

Find a demo GH gpx rte +trk file plus the converted gpx tbt navtrk file in the zip.

GH rte_trk to gpx navtrk.zip

What is shown is experimental. No guarantee of success. Anyway how to ask ?

  • Go to ChatGPT (free). Than Ask it this way.

Upload a zip file that contains both the .gpx and the .cfg file.

  • GH GPX file (must contain BOTH <rte> and <trk>)
  • The config.cfg file

config.cfg.txt

Then ask:
Convert this GH gpx file into a TBT gpx navigation track file.
Use the conversion rules in the config.cfg file.
