Description
Expected behavior:
Directory sharing in Teleport Connect should pass file metadata (specifically 'Date Modified') to the remote RDP server, matching the behavior of the Web UI.
Current behavior:
When sharing a local directory to an RDP session, file metadata (specifically the Date Modified field) is missing or blank when using Teleport Connect. However, when performing the same action via the Teleport Web UI, the "Date Modified" field populates correctly on the remote Windows host.
Bug details:
- Teleport Connect version: 18.6.8 (18.6.8.1984)
- Teleport Cluster version: 18.6.8
- Teleport agent running windows desktop service: Teleport Enterprise v18.6.8 git:v18.6.8-0-g9a94677 go1.25.7
- Windows 2025 server (remote machine)
- MacOS Tahoe 26.3 (machine where connect is running)
- Recreation steps
Open Teleport Connect.
Connect to a Windows Desktop.
Share a local directory.
Open Windows Explorer on the remote machine and navigate to the redirected drive.
Observe: The "Date Modified" column is empty/missing for all files.
Repeat steps using the Teleport Web UI.
Observe: The "Date Modified" column is correctly populated.
