Is netclient running on top of Wireguard go?

I installed wireguard go and netclient on the ubutun system, but when I stopped the wireguard go process, netclient still works. Why?

I have consulted relevant materials and found that the Linux system has built-in Wireguard, but I don't want to use it. I want to use my own packaged Wireguard go. How can I solve this problem?
