Custom Asset Report deployed vs deployable status

As for now there isn't any direct way to filter out assets that are Ready to Deploy (deployed) or Ready to Deploy (deployable), in other words assets that are checked out the moment the report is being generated. Is there any way to add the two distinct statuses in the custom asset report generation form?

Most folks handle that by using separate status labels. "Ready to Deploy", "In Stock", etc for deployable and then on checkout, change the status label to "Checked Out", "Deployed", etc.

I understand but the problem is that on custom asset report only Ready to Deploy status label exists. So, if I want to generate a report containing only laptops that are checked out at any users at that moment this can't be done, it will include Checked out and Checked in assets with Ready to Deploy status.
