I ended up doing it on asset tag however some assets are missed. oh well. the import did work when i reduced it down to just asset tag, model name and status. |

we are decommissioning several hundred assets. They happen to be chromebooks, which are managed by google admin.
I have a list of all the decommissioned serial numbers. Snipe has a list of all the assets. I am trying to match on the serial number and change the field "status" to "archived". I have not been able to do this using import.
It wants an asset ID. Then it says it cannot import as there are duplicate asset IDs (of course). So i figure that i am going about this the wrong way.
How do i mass decommission assets from a CSV file import? matching on the serial number. Is it possible?
Other option would be to delete all assets and then reimport mapping the "deprovisioned" status element from the google side to "archived" on our side. But then you lose all history of the assets and such. Is there a better way?
