Integration issue with Slack

slack integration (webhook notification) is not working on Asset check in or out? test is passing and says its working. Please let us know where is the issue. This are system information:

Did it work for you before and recently stop?

Do you have access to modify the database directly? If you're comfortable doing so can you check the settings table and see what the value for webhook_selected is? Does it happen to be null while webhook_endpoint is populated? If that is the case, enter slack for webhook_selected and you should start to get notifications again.

Do not do this if you are not comfortable interacting with the database directly!

The settings form seems to be sporadically failing to save that value. I'm starting to investigate why.

We're also running into this, it seems to have stopped working around the end of April after one of the updates. My webhook_selected is set to slack and the test goes through fine.

Presumably this is caused by #16897

confirmed, but after I tried to rollback to version 8.0.4 it still didn't send, I fresh install from docker

slack becomes not sending
but for audits that have no changes it still sends

Hi We cannot modify the database, it is installed on Cloud, we do not manage to upgrade or patch this Snipe_IT. previously it was working fine. we do not know where is the issue and how to fix it. Thank You

Afer i use latest image in docker
slack integration working again

before i use docker image v8-latest
and now i use latest

@pappu-novo this should be fixed with #16968. In the meantime can you switch to using a "General Webhook" with the same settings you use for Slack?

I did the same as you suggested but still issue is the same. how can we check the error because it is not passing any error.

Please upgrade to latest. That PR had not been merged yet, so the fix wasn't in the codebase.

I am not a developer, so let me how to merge, how can a new patch will be applied to cloud based Snipe-IT portal, we do not actively monitor to install any patches and OS, will this create any impact if i merge it.

If you install it manually, then you can visit this, https://snipe-it.readme.io/docs/upgrading, if you use docker-compose then you can do docker compose pull , now it's back to normal after I did the update
