No Compilation Error, Can't debug

I am using this groovy plugin in Android Studio 2.3.3. It doesn't show any compilation error. Most of the times debug doesn't work. When it works, then I can't evaluate expression.

Hi, could you please provide an example of empty project? I'll try to see what's wrong, also make sure you're using version org.codehaus.groovy:groovy-android-gradle-plugin:1.2.0for that version of com.android.tools.build:gradle:2.3.3gradle build tool.
