Security Audit (Pre-Publication)

Scope

  • Tracked working tree files
  • Full git history
  • Common credential/API key patterns
  • Private key header patterns

Checks Performed

  • Pattern scan over repository files excluding .git/
  • Pattern scan over all commits via git rev-list --all + git grep
  • Manual review of subprocess and filesystem mutation code in scripts/arbitrate_skills.py

Findings

  • No API keys, tokens, or private key material were detected in current files.
  • No API keys, tokens, or private key material were detected in commit history.
  • One hardening area was identified and addressed:
    • Added strict skill-name validation to prevent path traversal style inputs.
    • Constrained blacklist file argument to a filename-style value.
  • Added repository privacy policy gates:
    • scripts/check_private_data_policy.py for tracked and staged scans.
    • .githooks/pre-commit local commit enforcement.
    • CI Privacy policy check enforcement on push/PR.

Residual Risk

  • Skill source trust: arbitration depends on the configured repository (--repo).
  • Runtime behavior is Windows-focused for rg.exe monitoring; cross-platform environments may not reflect expected process metrics.
