Migrate away from github

From my point of view Github has completed several enshittification stages such that I'm not using it for new projects.

In addition, Github's desperate push of Copilot is utterly annoying.
Every odd week I have to revisit the Github settings to make sure I'm opted out of some new 'AI' BS feature.
As of now it isn't even possible to disable Copilot completely on Github.

I'm thus considering migrating the dracut-sshd repository to an alternative git forge.

This issue is for collecting feedback from the community.

Alternatives

Currently, I see the following viable git forge alternatives:

• https://opencommit.eu

Consequences

The migration of pasts issues and pull-requests might be impossible or a pain.

With an alternative we lose the convenience of github actions, but as enshittfication continues,
the quality and free-tier on gh likely erodes, as well.
Also, one can argue that the loss wouldn't be that great, since the CI can be executed locally with low effort.

I support whatever approach you take. You're a great maintainer, and we'll follow you and the project.

While I personally am not pleased using a forge run by Microsoft in this way, the importance of staying in a more well-known location for my main project has kept me from moving away for now. I use the minimum of features and mostly via the CLI, so I'm not very affected at the moment.

I have not heard of "opencommit.eu" until now. I do have an account on codeberg, so I don't expect any issues if you choose codeberg, and I'll leave it up to you to evaluate whether opencommit is a good approach.

My main suggestion would be to keep this repo here with a pointer to the new repository so search results direct folks over.
