I got this message when trying to add web-extensions tag to my question

The tag [web-extensions] is too similar to [firefox-webextensions]. If you think this new tag should be allowed, discuss it on meta.

Web extensions span far beyond just Firefox browser.

There's Chromium, Chrome, Chrome for Testing, Opera, Brave, Edge, Firefox, and several other browsers, such as Ladybird, et al. There is now a Web Extensions Community Group under the W3C umbrella https://github.com/w3c/webextensions.

FYI I previously added/created the native-messaging and native-messaging-host tags, which are also within the scope of web-extensions, though separate enough to qualify for their own respective tags.

I asked this https://codereview.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/12025/add-web-extensions-tag?noredirect=1#comment21968_12025 question to add the web-extensions tag.

The moderator deleted the question as a reprisal. Evidently because they didn't like the honesty of my comment.

This makes absolutely no sense.

The moderator who did the act of reprisal should have nothing to do with this question.

"The original question remains, add webextensions tag." as you have been told before, the tag already exists. You need to ask for a different solution. I'm deleting the current question as we have nothing to gain about discussing your inappropriate actions. –

Hi guest271314.

First off, the following comment is a violation of our CoC:

However, posting a single comment in poor taste isn't a reason to delete a, largely, valid question. One of the reasons users aren't allowed to delete content when leaving is because the posts are for the betterment of the community. Your original post has been undeleted as the moderator's action causes harm to the community.

Calling out a moderator for abusing moderator powers is a question I've asked a number of times in the past. "The moderator deleted the question as a reprisal." is true, however "Evidently because they didn't like the honesty of my comment." is false. Discussing a post with a falsehood isn't constructive, and so to diffuse the situation I deleted the post.

You came back and didn't try to start another fight. So you had been 'diffused'. The situation wasn't the best, you'd been told to ask a slightly different question and both posts are deleted... what do you do? Ask another or something? I should have undeleted your original.

Finally any problematic behaviour (a single comment) had been resolved at the time of the suspension. Calling out a moderator's escalatory actions isn't grounds to suspend users, as otherwise I'd have been suspended a ton by now. And so I have unsuspended you.
