Running the whisper server on different computer than client.

Thanks for this great software! It's working great for me on my workstation pc.
I would like to run it on my laptop too, but it's too slow.
I have a local server set up running whisper.
Is there a way to have the whisper-clip "client" communicate to the local server running whisper.
I don't know much python, but at a glance the communication it seems very integrated for local communication.
