As far as I can see there are exactly 3 types of search results pages right now, each one with a different layout. I'll post screenshots in order below. The first one is the "normal" one when you do a "Quick Search" for example. The second one is the "browse pages" which you get for an LoCC or Languages Search from the "Advanced Search" form. The last one is what you get if you do an "Author" or "Title" or "Subject" search from the "Advanced Search" form. This is clearly bad. I mean why have 3 different layouts for what fundamentally is the same functionality i.e. displaying search results of various types. Doesn't make any sense really. In my view they should all be consolidated to have the same layout and I believe it's relatively obvious that that layout should be the first one.
