Audit & Consolidate Existing Text, UI Elements, and Components

Overview

As part of Design System Project Phase 1: Document and Standardize Existing Elements, we need to audit and consolidate typography styles currently in use on both the food seeker and admin sides.

*In addition, audit existing color palette, UI elements, layout/spacing, etc that are currently in use on both the food seeker and admin sides.

Action Items

• Document what is currently in use (including backup/websafe fonts)
• Review audit with design team
• Remove redundant/out-of-use/non-accessible text styles and UI elements*
• Create a UX style guideline that acts as the single source of truth for design decisions* (WIP)
• Approval by design team

Hi there — any update on this issue? Maybe a good question is: is this needed at this time? If no one is asking for font specs, I say let's put this in the icebox.

Hi, apologies for the delayed response. Font specs weren't specifically requested, but they're part of the design system issue. It wouldn't take much more work to complete this, but if we're putting the design system on hold then it would make sense to include this.

Hi Natalie — this issue is inactive right now since we’ve got a new design… is this something that should be updated with John’s new design's fonts?

Who’s the one using the results of this issue now (us designers? devs?), and do they still need it?
