Why should this be removed?

The author has marked the repo as deprecated and explained they will no longer maintain it.

As I understand it, at least earlier, removing a repo from hacs would also blacklist it and more or less forcibly uninstall it from users.
I do not want that.

It will be removed for new (not findable) existing ones will get a repair issue to remove it, or ignore that is has been removed from the list.

So you are continuing it?
