Objective

Create an append-oriented, traceable audit trail for important financial and operational events.

Scope

• Record transaction creation and state changes.
• Record ledger posting events.
• Record retries and recovery actions.
• Record reconciliation results.
• Record settlement actions.
• Record fraud-rule decisions.
• Associate audit records with originating transactions and correlation identifiers.

Acceptance criteria

• Important financial and operational actions produce audit records.
• Audit records are append-oriented and traceable.
• Audit data does not silently overwrite historical events.
• Tests verify coverage of the required event categories.

• Full observability stack
• External SIEM integration
