<p>Web accessibility is essential for people with disabilities but useful for many more. Learn about some of the accessibility considerations and how they benefit everyone in different situations.</p>

<h2 id="what">What is Notifications and Feedback?</h2>
<p>Users need to be kept informed about what is going on, and to receive appropriate feedback during interaction. This includes confirmation messages when actions are completed, such as when forms are submitted. Also error messages should help rather than confuse users.</p>
<h2 id="who">Who depends on this feature?</h2>
<ul>
<li>People with some forms of cognitive and learning disabilities, who may be easily distracted by unexpected behavior and confusing error messages.</li>
</ul>
<h2 id="others">What are the additional benefits?</h2>
<ul>
<li>Content is more usable for people who are new to the particular website or application;</li>
<li>Content is more usable for people who are not confident in using computers and the web.</li>
</ul>
<h2 id="action">What needs to happen for this to work?</h2>
<p>Use clear and simple language to make error messages more understandable. For example, describe how to fix an error. If a form has been submitted, make sure to follow it with a confirmation message. If a change is being made on the screen, such as the appearance of a loading spinner, or new content being injected, make sure that users are alerted to this change.</p>
