The TinyTorch *software* (this directory: source code, build scripts,
test harnesses, the `tito` CLI, and packaging metadata) is released
under the MIT License above so that it can be freely used and embedded
in other research, courseware, and projects.

The TinyTorch *educational content* (chapter narratives, scaffolded
notebooks, problem statements, instructor materials) is part of the
"Machine Learning Systems" textbook and is licensed separately under
Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International
(CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0). See `../LICENSE.md` at the repository root.

The dividing line is intentional:
  - Use the MIT-licensed code in commercial or academic projects freely.
  - Reuse, translate, or remix the educational content non-commercially,
    sharing under the same CC-BY-NC-SA terms.

If a single file mixes both — for example, a notebook that contains
both code cells and prose explanations — the code cells fall under MIT
and the prose under CC-BY-NC-SA. When in doubt, file an issue.
