App keeps asking for permission after deployment

Hi @gabeabrams,
After successfully deploying my app as an Azure web app, I can launch the app, but it keeps asking for permission to access my account each time I click the navigation button in my Canvas course. This should normally only happen the first time, right?
Am I doing something wrong here?

If your app doesn't have a way to store credentials, it'll have to ask every time. The way you provide a token store is by providing a function to initCACCL on the server called: api.initTokenStore.

I'm not sure about how your Azure setup works, but by default, the tokens should be stored in memory, so the user should only have to reauthorize if the server is restarted or if the memory is cleared.

One way to ensure storage of user authorization is to set initTokenStore as something that will store in a database.
