Is it possible to remove a lot of selection keeping backspace pressed?

Just wondering if that's being considered or prevented on purpose or if it should work and it's not for me.

I just want to remove a lot of selection quickly, so doing backspace and keeping it pressed I would expect the usual repetitive keystroke behaviour like when typing.

Good question; guess that it's to prevent accidentally removing multiple options. But I could see it as an option.

You could however set single_backstroke_delete to true, which will require you to only press backspace once to delete an option, instead of first selecting it and then deleting. But you will still have to press it repeatedly for each option.
