dark_mode for plotnine plots

The pet.style.use('dark_background') only imperfectly sets the dark mode in the plotnine plots see the plot below. Is there a feature to turn this on? If not it would be cool to have something like ggdark:dark_theme_bw()

pet.style.use('dark_background') shouldn't work as it is not part of plotnine, and I am not sure what package pet refers to.

The equivalents of ggdark:dark_theme_bw() are out of the scope of plotnine and should be a separate package.
