Excessive events on connection loss

My dishwasher has a flaky WiFi connection and loses connectivity from time to time. hcphy detects this and re-establishes a connection to the device. Unfortunately it triggers all events after a successful reconnection. This leads to hundreds of duplicate and unusable events in home assistant.

Could hcpy send out these events when the underlying state changes regardless of the connection state?

The events should only be sent out by the device when it is making a mobile phone notification, e.g. my dishwasher will send rinse aid low events, and they correspond to a notification in the app. It shouldn't be sending an event otherwise.

There is a config option that converts events into sensors as some people prefer them that way?

The events are sent out after every re-connection, regardless of their previously reported state.

What is the intention about sending the event i.e. "Salt nearly empty" is "Off" multiple times? Is it possible to log all MQTT messages with their values?

I think, that this isn't working well. I've tried to ignore the events and poll the sensor variables instead, but this lead to inconsistencies. E.g.: The dishwasher isn't connected and I close the door. The hcpy re-connects to the dishwasher, but the DoorState sensor stays Opened in home assistant. But maybe that's another issue. Does hcpy query the dishwasher for all sensor values after a re-connection to ensure a consistent state?

Some data from my own setup that lines up with this. I run a Siemens dishwasher
and a hob on one hcpy instance, and caught a reconnect.

The hob dropped once and came back five seconds later:

20:28:30 hob websocket closed, reconnecting...
20:28:35 hob connecting to 192.168.188.148

After the reconnect hcpy re-publishes every event topic (all "Off") plus the
full value set, so I can confirm the republish you see. That full set is the
/ro/allMandatoryValues response, so on reconnect the values are read again
from the device rather than kept from before.

Yes, it does. My reconnect happened on the hob, but hcpy runs every device through
the same reconnect path, so it's the same on the dishwasher.

The events should be published as Off unless its actually triggered? So any notifications should be easy to filter?
