How do I get a Dark Mode?

When I select a theme in TuxGuitar with the word Dark, the result is not the one displayed in the rendering (the image).

The TuxGuitar dark setting just changes the icon set. You have to switch your desktop to dark mode in the OS settings. See issue #27.

An important detail: TuxGuitar's dark mode does not work on Windows.

This is an old issue we could not solve yet.

I re-open this discussion, since it may be helpful for users. This may also help avoiding new duplicate issues (several already)

Dark mode is an essential feature, and not just an aesthetic one.

Just read the history of #27, I spent a huge amount of time on this issue already. Help would be welcome!
