Edit: I possibly misunderstood your question (confusion between "neck" and "head")...

• the desktop app displays by default a fretboard, but without a guitar's head
• the Android version does not have this feature

Was your request to add a head to the fretboard of the desktop app, or to add a fretboard to the Android app??
Nothing like this is currently planned.

OK, that's more clear.
I understand your point. The problem is Android essentially target smartphones, with very small screens (compared to a laptop/desktop computer). Currently on a smartphone, the UI is very light and not so easy to use. And I don't really see where a fretboard could be displayed.
Furthermore, we're missing time (and skills) to make serious progress on the Android version of TuxGuitar. I'm personally more focused on the desktop version. So it's not a priority.
