Cursor jumps after :w, after autoformatting .go file

And if I do it again, the cursor doesn't move. If I discard the "changes" with git (it doesn't show any changes), the jumping is back. It happens often and it's super annoying.

My config is just "theme = monokai". I asked on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/HelixEditor/comments/1qykh0c/cursor_jumps_after_w/ and they suggested that the issue is that autoformatting changes selection. It looks random. Other text editors don't have this issue.

shouldn't you try updating helix first at the very least before you consider it a current bug, i mean it is very tedious to go back in time to that commit and test on a version clearly not anywhere in current timeline

my sincere apologies, if possible, can you try manually building the latest commit and test it first? I never noticed that, I often follow source commits.

I haven't really used rust before, just played with it for a bit. I think I managed to compile something.

The release version looks like that

It says the version is the same, but I dunno, commit name (?), is different. Also, it looked somewhat different (issues are inlined, not in the top right corner), and no syntax highlighting (I assume because it failed to download the treesitter things, it complained about them).

The cursor still jumps, same as before.
