Mermaid only working in blog posts, not pages

Maybe this is a feature and not an issue but I'm currently only able to get Mermaid diagrams loading on blog posts. When trying to get Mermaid diagrams to appear on pages (like About) the diagram doesn't render, it only shows the text.

Strikes me as odd given the code that inits mermaid is in base.astro which is used in page.astro. Maybe someone can point me to what I'm missing?
