Sidebar takes almost half the screen

This is how the website looks on my Firefox:

Previously (months ago I visited the site) the sidebar had reasonable width, perhaps some new content is making it wider now.

This was an intentional change to improve the layout of long option paths in the page menu that's now part of the left bar.
I agree it may have been excessive, so I've reduced it a bit.

What do you think?

Ideally, I would prefer if mdBook had support for putting the current pages headings on the right instead of inside the left (allowing the content to be more centered), however that does not seem to be the case.

Fwiw we had that for a while, using an extension that inserted some JS.
It worked, but it wasn't better in an absolute sense because it required a wider browser window to fit three columns instead of just two today.
The new behavior is built in to mdbook, so I'm inclined to keep the page toc in the left column.

Starlight actually has really good responsive layout, but requires rewriting the docs site. IMO it's still nicer to read now with the slightly smaller sidebar, though.
