Your goal in this kata is to implement a difference function, which subtracts one list from another and returns the result.
It should remove all values from list a
, which are present in list b
.
array_diff([1,2],[1]) == [2]
If a
value is present in b
, all of its occurrences must be removed from the other:
array_diff([1,2,2,2,3],[2]) == [1,3]
def array_diff(a, b):
pass
def array_diff(a, b):
if len(b) == 0:
return a
for i in b:
if i in a:
for n in range(a.count(i)):
a.remove(i)
return a
def array_diff(a, b):
return [i for i in a if i not in b]
