WiFi issues with lua

Hi,

I am having issues connecting to the WiFi using the lua code and nodemcu 1.5.4 firmware. I tried mutliple alternatives bu setting the bssid and switching to different routers as well as changing the security protocol of the router all of them failed.

I used Arduino IDE and it got connected with no issues. This is what I used: http://www.instructables.com/id/Quick-Start-to-Nodemcu-ESP8266-on-Arduino-IDE/

I even thought of porting your codebase to Arduino but with interrupt's ISR not giving the exact GPIO pin that caused the interrupt it would not be feasible.

Can you help me figuring out WiFi problem with lua.

My board is ESP-12E.
