Display station names in user's language

Would it be possible to add an option to display station names etc in the user's language?

The data to do this is already present in the OpenStreetMap database, so it should be doable in theory, though I don't know much about how this works.

Good idea. This is possible, although it has not been implemented yet.

All name tags are imported already, and currently only exposed through the API for searching. For example you can search for Lehrter Bahnhof (old name), ベルリン中央駅, Berlijn Centraal Station, Берлін-Цэнтральны and Estación central de Berlín and find the Berlin Hauptbahnhof station (https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/3856100103).

The name tags still have to be exposed to the UI, and then automatically take the user's language preferences into account, and the style has to adapt to language preferences.

We can use https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/Intl/Locale to grab the user's language and provide it as a parameter for the tiles that support a language.

First test taking the browser language, passing it into a query parameter and letting Martin output a localized name (in this case Berlin Central station, https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/3856100103):

Only thing that remains is the API (search) results.

The search results should also show the localized name (Tokyo in the example).
