New release for hv-anndata, and subsequently lumen-anndata

Hi! I noticed hv-anndata has "anndata>=0.13.0.dev0" pinned, and I was wondering if there's any plans for a new release of hv-anndata so that I can release a stable version for lumen-anndata?

It needs anndata 0.13 as that one contains an upstream version of the reference API originally developed in here and then ported upstream

@ilan-gold is currently building some features on top of that API to battle-test it and see if it needs changes before release, so at least this needs to go in before 0.13: scverse/anndata#2372

Other than that the feature set is shaping up to look very nice for a release, so I think it’ll happen soon.

Yes! I have no issue releasing it perhaps after the battle-testing and then the small settings changes. I think everything else we were planning can wait!

We don’t have a date, but one of the last big PRs just went in. @ilan-gold do you have a more concrete intuition regarding timing?

Yes, for me, I want the zarr v3 stuff in, but I now have clarity on it so will implement it.

I get that, we’ve been stringing you along since April. Sorry for that! We took more time than expected testing the very feature hv-anndata needs by using it internally. But rcs are close to release, it means that we might add features and fixes, but won’t change features.

We also need to fix this somehow before we release hv-anndata: #45 (comment)
