Browser refresh and app state

Should a soft browser window refresh clear the application state or maintain the existing chat, data, and explorations? Often a browser refresh is done by accident and it's a shame to lose all the progress; I think I would prefer that it would maintain or give me an option to start where I left off.

I think this might be a Panel issue instead of Lumen, or even Bokeh issue since Lumen just runs on those servers.

hmm to me it's more about 'should' rather than 'can' this be done in Lumen, regardless of upstream behavior. I imagine there might be a couple of different approaches... e.g. maybe warn before continuing with the refresh or use a separate cache strategy.
