Reolink Battery Camera not going back to sleep for 5 min after closing stream

The problem

I have a Reolink Video Doorbell (Battery) in combination with a Reolink Home Hub, that i added to my HA via the integration.

Everything looks fine so far, but today i tried to add a image card with a live stream to my dashboard. From my understanding:

• Opening the dashboard will render the live stream which will cause the camera to wake up if it sleeps (seems to work)
• Closing the dashboard will stop the live stream
• The camera should go back to sleep

This seems to not work well and the camera often is still awake after the dashboard itself is closed. It could then take up to and sometimes more than 5 minutes until the camera sleeps again. Is this the normal behaviour?

Also i wonder if the following actions could be added to the camera via a service:

• Wake up a camera
• Force a camera to go to sleep
• Restart the camera (possible in the Reolink app)

I am aware of this issue and investigating if this is caused by Reolink firmware or HomeAssistant code.
I had already noticed this in my own tests as well.

Think it is related to the firmware, because it looks like it stays always awake for this longer time when it was waked up by motion sensor or doorbell pressed

I have the reolink hub and the reolink battery doorbell. Which works fine by itself for weeks. Battery stays at 100%
If i add the hub and doorbell to home assistant, the activation is massivly higher 6min/day to 180min/day and the battery starts to drop about 15-20% a day.
If i delete the the hub und doorbell it goes back to 6min/day.
I don't even have it on any dashboard or have any automations with it.

@Xotor I think I have figured out your specific issue.
I now have it working on my dev enviroment withouth the battery draining.
Will probably be fixed within a week.

Note that this is a diffrent issue than the stream keeping active for 5 minutes.

Yes i can confirm that it worked.

Updated it last week and the battery is arround 90 to 95% since then. integrated into home assistant and sending notifications like it should :)

Hi @starkillerOG ,
I am on version 2025.4.1 of HA and had to disconnect the integration because it is still draining my wireless cameras batteries. I have 3 Argus 4 pro cameras with solar chargers connected to a Home Hub and batteries are at almost 100% all the time, but when enabling this integration, battery lasts less than 2 days. Is there any setting I am missing? Thanks and regards.
