MQTT not bring in sensors

The problem

My MQTT has been working fine until yesterday and now it’s only bringing in two sensors out of 40 some. I’ve rebooted I restarted the integration. Is there an issue on your end?

Hi @mikefrantz
It's not a general issue. I have dozens of Mqtt sensors that all work perfectly fine.
Most likely related to your setup.

Use discord first to get help on configuration issues, if it proves to be bug, report here. This issue lacks the required context (which device, what sensors are still there...). Context is crucial for follow up by the owners.

Some troubleshoot suggestions:

• Did you powercycle the device that provides these missing sensors?
• Is your MQTT broker running as expected? Anything in the log of the broker?
• You can use MQTT explorer to review if the sensors are successfully published into the broker

Nearly the same here. Upgraded today to 2025.4.4 and after that MQTT integration does not load anymore. No errors in the logs.

Now I got something after deleting the current config and tried to reconfigure MQTT.

I fixed it. I had paho-mqtt 1.6.1 in my packages. I ugraded to 2.1.0 and restarted HA. Now I could reconfigure the MQTT part. I was not upgraded during the HA upgrade.

@mikefrantz Please check any custom integrations that pin the paho MQTT client and remove those. That should solve your issue.
