Numerous redundant/unknown devices and entities in MQTT

The problem

I've found well over 1300 devices with nearly 13,500 entities in MQTT; 99.9% of them are unknown to me and weren't created by me.

How can I properly and permanently remove this large number?

While I could delete each device manually, is there a way to delete them in bulk?
