If you are using Wyoming using add-ons, it should be automatically discovered in Home Assistant.

I run Home-assistant in a container and am following the instructions to experiment with the new voice assistant integration. I've installed both Piper and Whisper in containers and then attempted to install the Wyoming integration and get the host, port prompts. What is a "Wyoming container" -- is this "Whisper"? -- thanks!

Hi.. I have both services started, but the wyoming Protocol is still not finding the Host /Port. What am I missing? Albeit I do have an error in the Piper integration?

If you're using the add-ons and discovery is not working, make sure you open up their TCP ports.

I have same problem. Host and port in piper configuration.

How do we find the TCP port needed? I have the same thing. Both Piper and Whisper installed but Wyoming asks for host and port and have no idea what to enter. Is this the port HomeAssistant is running on? Should this port be entered into Piper / Whisper's configuration? Are just choosing a new port for this?

As with @zgrummedical I have an error in my Piper logs, but it looks like that's from Wyoming not being set up.

FIXED!: So I finally got this to work. I had to go into piper configuration, turn on "Show hidden ports" and enter "1200" to get piper to use port 1200. Then I did the same with Whisper, but using port 1300. Then I went in to Wyoming, chose "Add device" and then entered piper-core as the host and 1200 as the port. I did the same again entering whisper core and 1300 as the port and now it all works.

Before it was properly configured there was a problem with piper crashing repeatedly, so I'd start it up, enter the correct info into Wyoming, only to find Piper had already crashed so the config didn't work. Just make sure to refresh Piper's info page and click "restart" when necessary to make sure it's running, before trying to configure Wyoming.

"I went in to Wyoming" <- What does that mean? I see Wyoming in integrations and it has three entities already registered with it (Piper, Whisper and openWakeword) and trying piper-core/1200 in a new entity entry doesn't work.
