Device Infomation JSON File
• Device is Vine TJ550 thermostat
• Physical device has a sensor calibration offset set on the device
• The offset is applied locally but the raw uncorrected value is what gets sent to Homebridge/HomeKit
• v2 had no fix for this either
• Request a temperatureOffset field in the device config to correct the reported temperature
Detail Informations
Device: Vine TJ550 thermostat (Tuya-based)
The thermostat has a physical sensor calibration offset set on the device (+6°F in my case). This offset is applied locally and shows correctly on the device screen and in SmartLife, but Homebridge receives the raw uncorrected sensor value, causing HomeKit to display temperatures 6°F lower than actual.
Feature request: please add a temperatureOffset field to the per-device config that gets added to the reported temperature value before passing it to HomeKit. This would allow users to match the calibration offset set on their physical device.
