Currently if a large (number of features to be mapped or area) task has been reviewed for validation and set to 'more mapping needed', it will likely be split after saving the task status. Splitting has the effect of resetting the new tasks' status to 'available for mapping'. This might be OK is some conditions such as a large task set as completed when the mapper did very little or nothing, but set to 'Completed=yes' because that is what many new mappers do when they are finished with the task. However is may be better to have all 4 tasks set to 'more mapping needed' where problems exist across the task.
Describe the solution you'd like
Validators should have the option to 'Split and Invalidate'. This should result in all new tasks being set to 'more mapping needed' with validation comments from the source task.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Allow all users to 'Split Task and Maintain Status'. However this may lead to some mappers gaming their completed tasks without a perceived 'more mapping needed' penalty.
