Changes to plot look and feel

the plotting needs some changes to make it more PSSG like:

• x and y tics need to be inside the plot area instead of outside
• minor tic horizontal lines (in grey) should be dotted instead of dashed
• x and y axis should start at 0 and end at a value such that you always get a tic on the end of both axes
