Description
Description
As a user,
I want to have detailed explanations and sounds,
so that I know what currently happens in the game.
Details
Also, according to the user study some error messages (for example why certain objects are not clickable) were overseen, and the explanations on what effects are executed were hidden too quickly.
Solution Ideas
- Maybe rethink the timing of the effect explanations, to give more time to read them, or you could think about displaying the explanations and manually click on e.g. a button to make them disappear.
- Play an error sound when something is not clickable and maybe visually highlight the game monitor, so that the user knows where to look.
Further Material
Citations from the user study:
A kind of toast message would be cool, to show a message or at least a feedback when something is not clickable, that this is not possible right now.
Game Monitor is too fast, didn't have enough time to read it.
I also sometimes wondered why I couldn't click on maps. Then at some point I realized that the game monitor had displayed a message. Maybe play an error sound or emphasize visually that this is not possible from a rules point of view, e.g. if you select a feature that still has technical debt.
