I've actually noticed two things that may or may not be related. After I hibernate my Windows desktop, the keyboard and mouse stay on in that they don't seem to get whatever signal that says to turn off the LEDs. Shortly after Windows wakes up the computer. Sometimes Windows wakes up because of updates or whatever (despite my best efforts to prevent it) but this has been two days in a row with an unknown wake source according to the logs. Still, this is better than Synergy or any of those tools. |

Let me start off by saying I'm glad this project exists and it works very well. I'm sure it will become 100% necessary for me to use in the future due to my work's laptop policies changing. So, thank you for making this project.
My monitor configuration is a bit... unique. I have what I'll call a "tie fighter" set up, ignoring a small display for my desktop stats. The monitors are 3 x 27" 2560x1440, arranged (left to right) in portrait, landscape, portrait. Not my actual set up but it looks like this in terms of physical monitor configuration.
I have two scenarios in how I use these monitors.
Scenario 1 (aka personal mode)
Win11 on all monitors. This one is easy, I just switch my Deskhop to gaming mode and everything works as it did before. I have to ensure I switch it back when I swap over to scenario 2 for work.
Scenario 2 (aka work mode)
Win11 on the left-most monitor and OSX on the middle and right monitor. This is where the Deskhop shines.
I used to use Synergy but occasionally that would have problems like:
With Deskhop I can move the mouse to the edge of the screen and it wakes up my OSX laptop. It's great and doesn't take me several minutes sometimes to get it working.
My biggest issue with Deskhop is the absolute positioning. I tuned the X and Y speeds for both sides to as close as I could to the "native" speeds but on the OSX side it seems to behave differently on the two different screens, so neither one feels quite the same as "native". For example, on the landscape screen the mouse is too sensitive left to right but if I tune X speed down, it's too dull on the portrait screen. The same goes for the Y speed and up and down movement. Unfortunately, locking to the OSX side with gaming mode would introduce friction in how I use both computers in this scenario.
It's only been a few days but everything has been working very smoothly! I look forward to any updates or setting changes that might make my work scenario a bit easier to use.
