Deskhop not working well in PopOS 24.04 (Cosmic + Wayland)

I have the following setup:

Linux 3 monitors - Windows 1 monitor

This used to work in PopOS 22.04, but when I upgraded to 24.04 - with the Cosmic desktop environment and Wayland - when using the deskhop on the Linux side (mouse in absolute mode), the mouse pointer does not travel from monitor to monitor, but the mouse rotates three times over the same monitor before switching to the windows side.

I am not sure where to look; can this be solved in Deskhop, is it a Wayland issue or is it an issue in the Cosmic DE?
