ScalarEncoder: make output compatible with Numenta's; center inputs. #470
Description
Make (c++) ScalarEncoder binary output compatible with that of Numenta's.
The issue is in the way clipping & periodic (modulus) is applied. Numenta's centered the 1s.
The representations are exactly equally good, but:
- compatible format would make porting tests easier (otherwise, all tests that use internally scalar encoder would need to have changed the expected results, see PR Date Time Encoder #462 )
