Platform : raspberry pi 3B
At the time of writing, the latest omxplayer found on doesn't install itself on Raspbian Stretch because of an unmet dependency (libssl1.0.0).
I installed it using sudo dpkg -i omxplayer_0.3.7~git20170130~62fb580_armhf.deb
System claims that libssl1.0.0 isn't available. Looks like Stretch introduced version 1.0.2. There was a security hole in the previous version, and therefore there is no backport.
