Which translation engine does Uwazi use?

I was wondering how documents are translated. Which translation engine is used for this? And does this actually work in a self-hosted setup?

A quick search on "translate" in the source code did not reveal much to me.

@kixxalot currently we are not supporting translation of entire documents. We are working on that service at the moment.

But we support translation of properties (text, rich text). It is run as an external service that can be activated in Uwazi with a feature toggle and some configuration. Please find more information about the service and the ML models used here: https://github.com/huridocs/docker-translation-service
