Tesla account transfer #23

Unfortunately, Tesla China accounts cannot transfer vehicles to accounts in other regions — this is a Tesla policy restriction, not a technical limitation. The workaround documented by the upstream project (create a Canadian/US account → transfer → subscribe to FSD) works for most regions, but China is specifically excluded because Tesla China operates as a separate entity with its own account system. Some community members have reported success by contacting Tesla service directly and requesting a region transfer, but this is inconsistent. There is no known CAN bus workaround for this account-level restriction. The non-FSD features of this project (nag killer, BMS dashboard, speed display, blind spot alert) work on any Tesla regardless of FSD subscription or region. |

Correction to my earlier reply: I stated that China accounts "cannot" transfer vehicles cross-region. That was too absolute. Some users have reported success with cross-region transfers by contacting Tesla service directly — it depends on the service center and may require persistence. The technical limitation is that Tesla China's account system is separate from the global system, making self-service transfers impossible through the app/website. But a service center visit may work. If you attempt it, please report back — your experience would help other China-based users. |

Is there any way for Tesla users in China to get a subscription to FSD? Because I have tried, and I cannot transfer my vehicle to a Tesla account outside of the China region.”
