Background blur doesn't compensate for downscaled monitors

Ignore the topbar gap, that happened on GNOME too.

As you can see, some parts of the window are not blurred properly. Perhaps someone forgot to divide by monitor scale?

Note: This only seems to affect floating windows.

I don't think so. Blur works for everyone else. What is this app? Maybe it's incorrectly reporting opaque regions.

It's only for monitors which have a scale of less than 1, and only affecting floating windows. My guess is that since scales over 1 are more common, nobody noticed, since the blur region overcompensates, and no visual change is noticed, since its clipped.

It affects every app. Native and Flatpak.

I'm on Fedora 42 using version 0.48.1

Using NVIDIA open drivers, though issue persisted using closed source too.

I set the monitor UI scale through the config, if there's somehow some other way to set the UI scale.

Maybe its a NVIDIA thing?

I assume you are not on legacyrenderer? if so, it might be some nvidia wonkiness? Though it's odd because you seem to be the only one with it. Try building manually latest git maybe?

I'm using the Fedora copr repo. I have no clue if it uses legacyrenderer or not. I installed the git version, almost bricked my Hyprland install when the bug didn't go away and I tried to reinstall the copr repo. So I'm guessing it's NVIDIA.
