I have the same issue with screenshots in hdr with hyprshot and grim by itself. Interestingly, this also happens in hyprpicker which showcases (what I think is) the issue. If you use hyprpicker to hover over a black pixel, it correctly reads as #000000 whereas a pure white pixel reads as #8B8B8B or [139, 139, 139] (on my monitor/configuration). If every color channel is getting clamped to [0 - 8B] and not properly mapped to [0 - FF], that would result in the gray washed out image (I think). |

Of course I dont see it displayed like that on my display for me it is not gray scaled.
The Screenshot looks gray for me no matter where i observe it.(Phone, PC)
Screenshot is tahen with hyprshot which is grim under the hood (i think)
