Is there a way to merge virtual outputs into a single output?

Coming from i3, I was able to use xrandr to combine two screens into one. This comes up as an issue for me using hyprland because the monitor I have is somewhat wide, and presents itself to the system as two monitors. I would like to combine them so that when I fullscreen a window, it consumes the entire monitor, not just the half which the workspace currently occupies. Is there a way to approach this in hyprland?

I'd like to request this as a feature.
From X11 you can see the status of the monitor with xrandr:

This is a single physical monitor which is presenting itself to the system as two monitors. In hyprland, this means it is impossible to fullscreen an app on this monitor, since it would only take up half the screen space.

Maybe we could move this to the Feature Requests section. I have a JSAUX FlipGo monitor I use over USB-C, and I'd like to combine the two separate DP outputs it exposes into one, so I can use the screen as a single monitor. Not even sure if this is possible as-is.. anyone else got a similar monitor? Or a LG DualUp?
