Is there a way to set custom monitor settings for when in fullscreen HDR?

I have render:cm_fs_passthrough = 2. My monitor has 240Hz support unless it's in HDR, for that I must lower it to the 144Hz mode or bellow. What I've been doing for now is just simply use the monitor in 144Hz at all times, but I wonder if I could define something like lowering the refresh rate whenever I go into fullscreen HDR?

EDIT: And if not possible at the moment, could that it be an option to add that?

I think that would force a modeset which wouldn't be nice UX.

But fullscreen hdr, i.e. render:cm_fs_passthrough = 2 already forces cm, hdr when on fullscreen, or is that not how it works?
